This ‘Creative Intelligence Platform’ uses AI and Machine Learning to enable creative decisions to be driven by data and evidence, and not simply gut and instinct. Codec is backed by some of the top VCs and  investors across Silicon Valley and Europe (Dave McClure, Telefonica etc.), who believe in the Codec approach of improving the experiences of audiences, by improving the decisions made by publishers. 

Martin is CEO and Co-Founder of Codec.

 

Royal Marines/MOD

Engaged as an Advisor & Strategic Consultant by the Royal Marines on Psychographic Terrain Mapping & the digital war against ISIS/Daesh, and the Department for Communities & Local Government on the opportunities and threats posed by the Digital Economy.

 

Digital Future Council

 

The Digital Future Council (www.digitalfuturecouncil.com) was formed by a star-studded collection of leaders across the creative industries with the aim of bridging the gap between media and technology. Members of our community are invited to quarterly events hosted across the globe, with each event centered around the impact of a different emerging technology. 

Martin is a Co-Founder of the Digital Future Council.

 

Totus Ed/Tech

Totus Ed/Tech is a tech consultancy with a focus on the Education space. Totus has partnered with pioneering digital companies like Quiz Up (mobile trivia), Primo (programming for children) and MyCognition (gaming)- to create an altogether smarter, less 'Victorian' approach to education. The company was recently nominated for an Education Investor Award.

 

Martin is a Co-Founder and Director of Totus Education.  

 

Second Screen

Second Screen is built around the buzz of live events. The company builds apps that connect the crowd and allows artists and brands to power premium content through a highly localised, highly engaged network, and has won partners including Gigwise and iQnect. Martin Adams is an Advisor to the company.

Digital Leadership Council

 

The Digital Leadership Council (DLC) is the speaking and learning forum for leaders in and around the world of digital technology.

 

The DLC's first event was attended by senior speakers from the tech, brand, finance and legal worlds, including Facebook, Disney, Wiliam Morris Endeavour, Droga 5, Unilever and GP Bullhound Capital.

 

Martin is a Founder of the DLC.

 

 

Social Media Unit

Set up in partnership with University College London to advise on policy issues (privacy, IP, data protection etc.) that relate to Social Media.The SMU has brought together senior leaders from companies like Spotify and Songkick to form the debate around social media and it's use and regulation.

 

As a Founder of the SMU, Martin was invited by the Russian government to speak as a social media thought leader at a global conference. He spoke alongside participants such as the Russian PM, US Attorney General and UK Minister for Justice.

Songkick is widely recognised as one of the leading tech startups in the world, developing partnerships with Spotify, SoundCloud and YouTube, and establishing itself as the first UK startup to receive the backing of Sequoia Capital (PayPal, Google), when it raised $10 million in a 2012 investment round. Martin was brought in to consult the company on strategy and business development as it developed its innovative crowdfunding platform, Detour.

 

 

Kirkland and Ellis, New York

As a qualified New York attorney, and an Associate at Kirkland and Ellis's New York offices, Martin worked with tech and digital companies, from startups to multi-nationals, counseling them on issues such related to intellectual property and data around social and digital media. Martin analysed the profile and strategy of hundreds of innovative online companies on behalf of New York's leading private equity firms and worked to secure their financing and growth, while leading in-firm training on digital issues.

 

 

Berkman Centre, Harvard University

While doing his Masters at Harvard Law School, Martin worked and wrote papers at the world-famous Berkman Centre. He worked to defend the artist Shepard Fairey from a lawsuit brought by the Associated Press with regard to the Obama 'Hope' poster, which received huge international coverage. While at Harvard, Martin also wrote papers on topics such as Internet regulation and the digitalisation of the music industry.

Union

Union operated in over 11 cities and can lay claim to being the world's first social media marketing company, representing artists and brands across social platforms more than 10 years ago. Having leveraged his university email address to create the company, Martin worked in business development for four years.
